Intuition, is something that I’ve come to trust slowly but surely over the years, but even now there are Tarot readings I do when I have to really focus on what my intuition is telling me

For me, their personalities are like prisms, always changing a little in each reading.

What a great way to describe it. I agree, the Court Cards are like people, a little different depending on the situation or context – certainly not fixed, or static “descriptions.”

If you think about Princess vs Page in terms of their roles in real life, the difference is accentuated further.

What a great way to put it. You’re right, the differences between the two of them are huge – and yet, in a real life situation, their roles could never be misunderstood. It’s amazing how these things can cause confusion.

As you illustrate so well, trying to “match” court cards between the Thoth and RWS (well, except maybe for the Queens) can cause confusion and misinterpretation.

I love this post! First, the quotes about the power of the princesses were beautiful and, second, I love the fact that this reading still stands out to you. I find it amazing how the memory works with the tarot and how one reading will stand out above others for a particular reason. There are readings that I’ll never forget for as long as I live!

I also find your encouragement to follow intuition very true, especially with the court cards. For me, their personailties are like prisms, always changing a little in each reading.
