No, I have never found anything like it in my searches either. I have been interested in the Tarot since around 1979. Have been extremely successful with readings but it’s like, only fairly recently, I have “opened my eyes” to the cards rather than referring to books. I do have a memory problem so do rely heavily on my material. I had always referred to my books etc but it is amazing how much you can “see” when you really look! I also look at new Tarot decks too and look at other people’s “slant” on a Tarot card. The “Pirate Tarot” I have found particularly interesting but can only view a few of the cards – so I’m afraid I am gonna HAVE to get my own pack at some stage! I was only on line last night discussing a reading I had done for someone. The amount of detail I had picked up really amazed even me! Like when I asked the lady what she did “normally” (at the moment she is a mum) she told me she did floral arrangements. My eyes immediately went to card number 6, the four of Wands. The day before I had added “garlands” to my description of it! I am now wondering whether she is going to get a request for flowers on a chuppah! Watch this space!

Fascinating! It’s really amazing just how accurate the Tarot can be when you read the cards literally. Would you agree with that? From what I’ve read in your comments, these meanings are almost counter to anything found in a standard Tarot book – which I think is amazing. Perhaps part of the ongoing development of any Tarot reader is to be continuously open to reading the cards literally … and not from memory!

One other observation with regard to the drugs bust. In one reading the 6 of Pentacles appeared – and the guy is holding scales – something VERY relevant to the ongoing case!

The combination of Tower, Ace of Disks, and 9 of Disks is also really interesting … particularly the 9 of Disks as debris. Very cool.

8 cups – “busted” – drugs

5 swords – hostile takeover

9 cups – cocktail bar

6 wands – horseriding

the last two were in a friends reading and both instances happened that night. My friend said she felt she has entered the “Twilight Zone!” Thank you so much!

One of my offering is: I always see the Tower and Ace of Pentacles as “ballistics”. This had proved true and the I couldn’t understand what the 9 of Pentacles depicted – until after the event when there had been an explosion and someone injured. The meaning of the 9 Pentacles – debris from the explosion! Hope that helps someone!

The Queen of Swords and Hanged Man examples are awesome. Very cool. I especially like the way you linked the Queen of Swords to the weather – thundery with showers and lots of lightning flashes, and the Hanged Man to the movie Hellboy.
